Sunday, June 29, 2003 ::: went to church this morning, so glad to find that everything's back to normal, all the books are now back to their shelves! during the past few weeks i was starting to get used to attending mass without books... but still, it's so much better with a liturgy book or hymn book in your hand! Still struggling with biology... really have to carefully digest the Kreb's cycle and electron transport system, as I'm sure I'll come across this concept again in the future. Yes I'm still sticking to Understanding Biology for AL. sux. And I just discovered something really interesting. We use to scold people by saying 'You go eat shit la' right? well i've found a better replacement (in english) for this phrase: 'You go COPROPHAGY!' or 'You are COPROPHAGOUS!' taken from Understanding Biology for AL: "in rabbits the yield (of absorption of products) is improved by the re-swallowing of the material from the caecum after it has left the anus - a process known as COPROPHAGY." well, so asking someone to go 'coproghagy' is actually much more cruel than asking him/her to eat shit, because this way you'll be asking him/her to 're-swallow' his/her OWN material just egested from the caecum after it has left the anus. And of course, the word 'coprophagous' would be the adjective, and it's the ideal word for describing someone (or something) whom you think deserve this title. Perfect for replacing the word 'Shitty'. now... back to biology. coprophagous! >.< Currently playing on my stereo: Celine dion... drove all night.................. P.S. Another interesting question, what's the difference between "All we need is love" and "Love is all we need"?
